"Loving someone is good, but loosing yourself in the process is something inadmissible"

As someone who had his share of unrequited love, the good news is that one heals and finds happiness, and it happens when you are ready to go through all the stages of healing from this very painful life experience.  No wonder that people employ all kinds of techniques to get over those who don’t come to love them back. In George Eliot’s novel Daniel Deronda (1876), Rex Gascoigne, after being rebuffed by the dynamic Gwendolen Harleth, begs his father to allow him to defect from England to Canada. Again, we need to see what is happening through the lens of the other person. The love or whatever it was he was feeling for me was long gone. It is that simple. But we sometimes choose the drama. I am glad that I have gone past the denial. I wish my ex and his boyfriend a peaceful life together. And now that I am past the denial stage, I am looking forward to a more peaceful life. Then, as if from nowhere, something happens — something so traumatic that it brings you to your knees and mak...

The power of Manifestation

Manifestation is essentially the act of feeling something is yours and making it real. Knowing what you want and believing that someone is going to give it to you without a doubt, even if it's Santa Claus. There is an exact formula that works, and usually, when we were a child, we know it. But as we get older, we start doubting the true power of manifestation. Many different tools help you achieve what you manifest in your life. One really powerful tool is visualization. By visualizing your desires in your mind, you can force your thoughts into moving into motion.Everything is born twice, first in imagination and then in reality. Negativity will only hold you back from everything. Even if you just start thinking with a positive attitude, you'll see a big change in your quality of life. What most people forget is that we all are always embedded with a power to get what we want in our lives. If you keenly study your life, you'll understand that everything which you have now ...

Financial literacy

Financial literacy is the ability to understand and effectively use various financial skills, including personal financial management, budgeting, and investing. Financial literacy is the foundation of your relationship with money, and it is a lifelong journey of learning.  To be financially literate means having the ability to not let money – or the lack of it – get in the way of your happiness as you work hard and build an American dream complete with a long and fulfilling retirement. Managing your money is a personal skill that benefits you throughout your life – and not one that everybody learns. With money coming in and going out, with due dates and finance charges and fees attached to invoices and bills and with the overall responsibility of making the right decisions One of the first building blocks of a successful personal finance plan is the ability to budget. Although it’s easy to understand, it’s also difficult to do because it requires a hard look in the mirror and...

Piaget's Cognitive Development Theory

Piaget was born in Switzerland in the late 1800s and was a precocious student, publishing his first scientific paper when he was just 11 years old.Jean Piaget's theory of cognitive development suggests that children move through four different stages of mental development. His theory focuses not only on understanding how children acquire knowledge, but also on understanding the nature of intelligence.   Much of Piaget's interest in the cognitive development of children was inspired by his observations of his own nephew and daughter. These observations reinforced his budding hypothesis that children's minds were not merely smaller versions of adult minds. In this psychology of children, what parents and teachers really need to understand is the complex and critical thinking of  children. A human being in general is a very curious being, but the curiosity in a child who falls under the age group of 2-7 years old is completely different from pre-teens, teens or even adults. Thi...
